Legal & Compliance Officer

Job Requirements

  • Degree in Law with at least 4 years of Legal and Compliance experience in retail insurers
  • Strong legal background and experience with local regulatory requirements
  • Well versed in both written and verbal communications skills
  • A self-starter, meticulous, a good team player and able to work independently

Job Responsibilities

  • Overseeing general operational set up, product development and projects
  • Manage all compliance related matters
  • Liaising closely with the Regional Head of Legal and Compliance and Bancassurance Head of Department
  • Providing legal support and advice
  • Developing, maintaining and revising policies and guidelines to ensure in compliance with all necessary guidelines, regulations and legislation
  • Implement a comprehensive compliance program
  • Execute an Anti-Corruption compliance programme that is in compliant with the internal Anti-Corruption Policy requirements
  • Responsible in Anti-Money Laundering / Counter Terrorism (AML / CFT) Financing programme which includes due diligence, detecting, reporting, monitoring, training, risk assessment, AML / CFT quality assurance and sanction list screening
