Key Responsibilities:
- The opportunity to partner with internal stakeholders including the Human Resources business partners and HR specialists, Compliance, Legal, Employment Law, General Counsel, Security Services, Sourcing and Vendor Management and Line Management
- A challenging role successfully managing the most complex and high-profile grievance and disciplinary cases primarily in Singapore and South East Asia, taking into account legal obligations, regulatory expectations and the bank’s risk appetite and ensuring effective risk management at all times
- The ability to act as a Disciplinary or Grievance Decision Manager: applying extensive employee relations/employment law experience and knowledge to manage cases quickly, effectively and professionally, ensuring that the risk to the bank is mitigated and that decisions reached are fair, consistent and in line with legal obligations and regulatory expectations
- The opportunity to partner with internal stakeholders including the Human Resources business partners and Compliance, Legal, Employment Law to ensure the right outcomes are achieved
- The chance to support the Head of Employee Relations in influencing and driving the direction of the strategy across the APAC region
- Representation of the team on ad-hoc APAC and/or global projects and tasks as directed by the Head of Employee Relations, e.g. development of Employee Relations related e-learning initiatives
Essentials Skills and Qualifications:
- You have a Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources or related disciplines
- 5-7 years of extensive experience as an Employee Relations Specialist, ideally obtained within a demanding financial services environment
- A demonstrated understanding of the Singapore and South East Asia employment law and regulatory frameworks (exposure to, and a full appreciation of, the regulatory environment and the regulator’s expectations in the context of employee conduct / disciplinary matters is essential)
- Experience dealing with a wide range of complex first and second stage grievances and disciplinaries
- Experience working within a complex, fast paced and challenging business environment
- A demonstrated ability to partner effectively with key internal stakeholders including senior business managers
- Confidence, gravitas and credibility together with a robust and resilient personality
Salary: $9,000 Per Month
