RISK OFFICER, PRIVATE BANKING

Job Responsibilities:

  • Ensure transactions are in compliance with internal credit policy & procedures, approved terms and conditions as well as local regulations
  • Prepare facility letter, security documents and other legal documents for relevant credit facilities
  • Review facility documentation to ensure credit terms comply with credit approvals and term sheets
  • Review and recommend collateral haircut parameters / margin requirements, derivative margining methodology and stress testing including the relevant documentation
  • Process loan activation and update approval details in the system
  • Examine customers’ request relating to credit facilities and ensure facility limits and all conditions precedent are met before loan disbursement
  • Preparation of local, regulatory and Head Office credit risk reports
  • Post-lending monitoring via mark-to-market valuation and ensure sufficient margin collateral at all times
  • Monitor credit facility limits and their utilization, and to escalate breaches to the relevant authorities as defined in the Credit Policy
  • Promotes collaboration and teamwork with Front Office and other relevant stakeholders their risk awareness and to assist in the risk mitigation strategies
  • Partake and lead IT change initiatives and projects relating to market risk or risk management
  • Involve in Business Continuity Planning and Crisis Management for the Private Banking business, working closely with the Senior Management and counterparts in Head Office to develop and maintain the BCM system
  • Support ad-hoc requests and queries from all stakeholders and ensure responses are prompt and accurate

Requirements:

  • At least 5 years of relevant experience in credit function in Private Banking
  • Understand regulatory requirements for Lombard loan, mortgages and insurance policy financing business
  • Familiar with private banking operational risk management
  • Preferably with some knowledge in other Private Banking investment products
  • Able to communicate effectively in both English and Mandarin (required to liaise with the Bank’s Head office related personnel)
  • Proficient in IT skills MS Excel/Access, preferably with knowledge of       TAP system
  • Good team play as well as ability to work independently

Salary: $5,500
