TRADE FINANCE & PAYMENT OPERATIONS (SENIOR OFFICER/ AM/ AVP)

Job Description

  • Perform trade document checking and processing/authorization of trade, remittances and cheque payment transactions while maintaining effective control on all areas to protect the bank’s interest and avoid operation risks
  • Establish appropriate procedures and workflow for structured commodity trade finance, documentary trade operations, remittance and cheque payment processing and ensure they are in compliance with Singapore and Hong Kong regulatory requirements and are strictly followed
  • Establish good rapport and relations with business units to ensure things are done in a timely and quality manner
  • To coordinate with the other departments within the branch and ITD in Head Office for system enhancement and implementation related to the department
  • Perform periodic reporting to MAS and HK Head Office on Management information
  • Participate in UAT for system enhancement and implementation including on-site and off-site system testing
  • Perform Mark-to-Market (MTM) valuation, monitor Loan-to-Value (LTV) ratio and cash collateral requirements for structured commodity trade finance
  • Provide quality services to clients / front office and ensure quick turnaround time within the agreed SLA
  • To assist the Team Head in review of procedure manual and clearly define the roles and responsibilities of the team members and establishing appropriate procedures and workflow for documentary trade operations, and remittance processing
  • Provide operation support and assist team head for all relevant activities of the department

Job Requirements

  • University/Diploma graduate in Banking, Business Administration, Finance, Accounting or related disciplines
  • Minimum 3-10 years’ experience in trade finance, SWIFT, remittances and cheque payment operations, preferably with experience in loans, deposit and other general banking operations
  • Strong knowledge in the international trade finance rules/guidelines such as UCP, ISBP, ISP, URDG, URC, URR, etc.
  • Strong knowledge of Trade Finance, SWIFT and Cash related products (cheque/remittances etc.)
  • Able to work independently, organized and attentive to details
  • Able to work with people to achieve desired result
  • Quick to adapt and implement change
  • Ability to communicate effectively with internal and external clients both verbal and written basis
  • Well aware of MAS AML guidelines and other regulatory requirements

Salary: $4,000 to $8,500 Per Month
